2 - The Tower
| Fitting
the Bottom Section and cabling for the tilting winch
Bottom section lowered to fit the other
sections and to cable the raising winch |
Raised again with all three sections nested
The complete tower vertical for the first
time |
The raising winch works! |
The full 60ft |
Phase 3 - The Antennas
The 20ft extension
and 2m ZL-special were fitted with the tower tilted but there wasn't
sufficient space to fit the HF beam, and so.... |
HF beam hauled into position
Our intrepid aerial rigger.... |
....gently rotates it into place....
....and secures it to the mast
I still say those elements are the wrong way
round!
What a star! |
